A New Love for Valentine's Day...Hearts Bloom relaunches as Santa Barbara Style

Joni Papay - Tuesday, March 06, 2012

On Valentine’s Day, exactly 25 years ago is when Hearts Bloom Event Design opened its this Valentine’s seemed like the perfect time to begin anew. There are so many wonderful and amazing stories behind Hearts Bloom, and the last 25 years have been a grand adventure but Hearts Bloom no longer matched the passion, joy and exuberance that I have for creating and designing beautiful events that reflect today's current market. It was time for a change, a re-brand, a re-start…to begin with the launch of a new name…same heart, new bloom…Santa Barbara Style.

The re-Launch Party on Valentine’s Day February 14th 2012 was one amazing PARTY! With over 150 of our dearest top industry professionals and friends in celebration, the shop was beyond full…we moved cocktail tables to the outside sidewalk so people could relax while waiting for a peek inside. The beautifully renovated interior was decorated for the occasion with amazing flowers filling every space…except of course for those already occupied by rich delicious chocolate, which there was in nooooo shortage of thanks to the new chocolatier in town… Chocolats du CaliBressan. Guests were treated to sweet treats and beautiful décor as we sipped Champagne Kir Royales with black raspberries.

After a glass of champagne and some sweet treats, we jumped aboard the shuttle operated by Limo Link Transportation and moved the party to Villa Amoré, the beautiful home of Belle and Daniel Cohen, which was beautifully lit by Ambient Event Design, who did an amazing job of creating the romantic Valentine lighting in red for both the shop and at Belle's home.

Once there, we feasted from a lavish display of caviar, olives, hummus, cured meats, cheeses, breads and of course more scrumptious desserts, all eloquently presented by Bryan of Scofield Catering.

The Shoemaker Brothers entertained and marveled us as they took turns exchanging instruments and serenading the audience with their own original and unique style of music.

It was such an amazing evening…and to top it off we had the super talented Cheli Brothers, Nathaniel and Daniel, on stilts, breathing fire, and entertaining us all.

I am truly excited for the new direction and I look forward to all the great events to come. It was a great night to hang with friends who I rarely have time to spend with. I thank all of you who attended, with special thanks to those who helped shape the event; Belle and Daniel Cohen, Bryan Scofield, The Shoemaker Brothers, Limo Link TransportationAmbient Event Design, Nathaniel and Daniel Cheli; and a big thank you to Mike Good Photography for preserving it all so well. 25 years and running strong, more to come.
